Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Cliniq.io website and marketplace (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including patients searching for care and providers listing services. By creating an account or using the Service, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Description of the Service
Cliniq.io is a marketplace that helps patients find, compare, and book appointments with independent allied health professionals and clinics. Cliniq.io facilitates these connections but does not itself provide healthcare services.
3. Independent Professionals
All healthcare services listed on Cliniq.io are provided by independent, licensed clinics and practitioners. Cliniq.io does not employ, control, or guarantee the conduct of any provider, and is not liable for the quality, outcome, or delivery of any healthcare service.
Provider credentials and listings are verified before publication, but users are encouraged to evaluate providers and services before booking.
4. No Medical Advice
The Service does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. Any health-related information or AI-assisted suggestions provided through the Service are for general informational purposes only and are not a substitute for professional medical advice.
Always seek the advice of a qualified, licensed professional with any questions about a medical condition. Never disregard professional advice or delay seeking it because of content on the Service.
5. Patient Responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate information when joining the waitlist, creating an account, or booking an appointment.
You are responsible for attending booked appointments or cancelling with reasonable notice according to the provider's policy.
You are responsible for any fees associated with missed appointments or late cancellations as set out by the provider.
6. Provider Responsibilities
Providers agree to maintain valid professional licensure, to publish accurate information about their services and availability, and to deliver care in accordance with applicable laws and professional standards.
Providers are solely responsible for the services they offer, including scheduling, billing, patient care, and record-keeping, and for complying with all privacy laws applicable to their practice.
7. Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must be at least the age of majority in your province of residence to use the Service.
You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.
8. Fees and Payments
Joining the waitlist and searching the marketplace is free for patients. You pay the provider directly for any services you book, at the price listed by the provider.
Fees applicable to providers, including any platform fees, are communicated separately and may change with reasonable notice.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including submitting false information, interfering with the platform, scraping content, impersonating others, or using the Service for any unlawful or harmful purpose.
You agree not to use automated tools to access or collect data from the Service without our consent.
10. Intellectual Property
The Service, its design, branding, and content are owned by Cliniq.io and protected by intellectual property laws. Providers retain ownership of the information they publish about their services.
You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute Service content without permission, except as necessary to use the Service.
11. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, about the accuracy, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose of the Service.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any provider listed is suitable for your needs.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cliniq.io is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service or from any healthcare service obtained through it.
Our total liability for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to the amounts, if any, you have paid to us through the Service.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Cliniq.io harmless from claims, damages, and expenses arising from your misuse of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
15. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms or otherwise misuse the platform. You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time.
Upon termination, the provisions that by their nature should survive will remain in effect, including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification.
16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.
The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Quebec for any dispute arising from these Terms, except where otherwise required by applicable law.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms on this page and update the “last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
